About us
The CPD Cluj movement began on March 17, 2023, initiated by a group of mental health specialists and caregivers/family members of individuals with dementia, who formed the core of this community.
CPD Cluj is a pilot project that we aim to develop at a national level because:
- Individuals with dementia and their caregivers face stigma.
- Individuals with dementia and their caregivers face stigma.
- Individuals with dementia and their caregivers feel isolated, confused, and helpless.
- Individuals with dementia and their caregivers experience physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion.
- Individuals with dementia and their caregivers have the right to dignity.

Objectives
- Developing the community's capacity to support individuals diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers to live as integrated as possible in the community.
- Increasing awareness about dementia and reducing the associated stigma.
- Creating a set of tools designed to enable the sustainability of the dementia-friendly community beyond the scope of the specific project, expanding and spreading at a regional and national level.
- Developing a regional network for increased access to social services dedicated to individuals with dementia.
- Improving the quality of life for individuals with dementia and their caregivers.
To assist communities in working towards becoming dementia-friendly, CPD Cluj provides technical assistance, including a set of community tools and specific guidance for those who wish to get involved in this endeavor.
